A history

Avetek Limited was formed 2009 when Gwyn & Christina Avenell purchased a laser cutter, mainly as a hobby to assist Airsail International Ltd to bring their product range into the 21st century with a more modern manufacturing method. When this part of the Airsail International Ltd was put up for sale in 2011, they saw the opportunity of continuing to manufacture and market these excellent kits, so Avetek Limited purchased the business from Brian and Heather Borland. A year later they also purchased Hangarone Kits to combine a strong manufacturing and wholesales business for Model Supplies and laser cut RC model kits.

In 2018 Andreas & Alexandra Gabler purchased Avetek Limited and are now continuing the legacy of these companies in New Zealand and around the world with Hangarone KIts.

Avetek NZis the sole distributors of Balsa Wood in New Zealand. This product is manufactured using sustainable methods by our supplier, allowing us to bring a quality product to the market.

We are the sole distributors of Bob Smith Industries Cyanoacrylates and Epoxies in New Zealand and we are proud to bring this quality product to the Trade, Movie production and Hobby business in New Zealand.

We also operate multiple machines for manufacturing our kits and do contracted work.

We are proud suppliers of short kits for the Jerry Bates range of scale models. We also print  and supply his full range of plans.
